Major Martyred, Five Terrorists Killed in Bajaur Intelligence-Based Operation
Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Khar area of Bajaur District, targeting members of the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al Khwarij, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.
During the operation, five terrorists were killed following a fierce exchange of fire. The militants were actively involved in multiple attacks against security forces and civilians, and weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site.
Tragically, Major Adeel Zaman, 36, from Dera Ismail Khan, who was leading his troops from the front, embraced martyrdom while demonstrating exceptional bravery. His sacrifice highlights the courage and dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces in counter-terrorism operations.

Sanitisation operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. Under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies continue their relentless campaign against foreign-sponsored terrorism to safeguard the nation.
