Sindh Government Links Orange and Green BRT Lines for Seamless Karachi Travel
The Sindh government has connected the Orange Line BRT with the Green Line BRT, allowing commuters to travel more easily between Orangi Town and Numaish. The announcement was made by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, who said the move aims to improve daily commuting in Karachi.
The Orange Line operates from Orangi Town to North Nazimabad, while the Green Line runs from Surjani Town to Numaish via North Nazimabad. With the new linkage, passengers can now use both routes on a single ticket, ending the need to pay separate fares while switching lines.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony at the Orange Line depot, Memon said the integrated ticketing system is expected to benefit nearly 100,000 passengers daily. He noted that ridership on the Green Line has risen from around 55,000 to nearly 80,000 commuters per day, reflecting growing public trust.
He added that fares remain affordable and buses are equipped with security cameras and modern facilities. Separate buses for women passengers will also operate on both BRT lines to ensure safer and more comfortable travel.
