Karachi to Receive First Winter Rain Tomorrow, PMD Forecasts Light Showers

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Karachi will witness its first winter rain and drizzle tomorrow, expected to continue for two days.

A westerly weather system is likely to affect the city on Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing light showers and a noticeable drop in temperature. The PMD advisory indicates that rain may begin on the night of December 30.

Currently, humidity levels in Karachi stand at 76 percent, with light north-easterly winds blowing across the city. The maximum temperature on Monday is expected to range between 26°C and 28°C.

PMD Forecasts Rain, Snow as Western Weather System to Hit Pakistan

During the day, weather is likely to remain dry, while nights will be cold. The advisory also mentioned light rain in other parts of Sindh, while heavy snowfall is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Balochistan, and Punjab over the coming week.

Residents are advised to stay updated with local forecasts and take precautions during cold and rainy conditions.
