Ignite Launches Nationwide Cybersecurity Training to Tackle Rising Digital Threats
National Technology Fund has rolled out a nationwide series of Digital Pakistan Cyber Security Hands-On Workshops to enhance cyber readiness and technical skills across Pakistan.
The initiative comes at a time when cyber threats are increasing alongside rapid internet penetration, growth in e-commerce, and greater reliance on digital infrastructure. Officials say both public and private sectors are facing a growing demand for trained cybersecurity professionals.
Thousands of participants are expected to benefit from practical, hands-on training sessions conducted in major cities across the country. The program builds on Ignite’s earlier efforts, including national cybersecurity hackathons held regularly since 2021.

Authorities emphasized that the workshops focus on real-world scenarios rather than theory, enabling participants to better understand cyber risks and defense mechanisms. The training is also aimed at improving employability for students and young professionals.
Ignite noted that Pakistan currently faces a shortage of skilled cybersecurity experts. The program is designed to bridge this gap and support the broader goals of Digital Pakistan by strengthening national cyber resilience.
