Italy Opens Doors for Pakistani Workers with 10,000+ Jobs Over Three Years
Italy has announced plans to offer more than 10,000 job opportunities to Pakistani workers over the next three years, marking a significant development in overseas employment cooperation between the two countries.
Under a newly agreed framework, Italy has allocated a dedicated labour quota for Pakistan, making it the first European country to do so. Around 10,500 Pakistani workers are expected to benefit from employment in multiple sectors.
These opportunities will cover areas such as shipbreaking, agriculture, healthcare, hospitality, and technical trades. Roles include welders, technicians, chefs, waiters, housekeeping staff, nurses, medical technicians, and farm workers.

Each year, nearly 3,500 Pakistanis will travel to Italy for work. This includes 1,500 workers under seasonal quotas and 2,000 under non-seasonal categories, providing both short-term and long-term employment options.
Officials said the initiative will support skill development, increase foreign remittances, and strengthen Pakistan-Italy relations. The next Pakistan-Italy Joint Working Group meeting is scheduled to take place in Islamabad in February 2026.
